When I compare my Multi-X to a similar corded tool, I can affirm the fact that it is not powerless! Yes the battery will just quit - but that is the nature of the Lithium Ion battery. When a cord would get in the way or when a quick use is anticipated - this is the tool I grab. With the adaptors I can use most any attachment on the market. I just wish it had a tool less quick change feature like my corded tool but other than that - another great Bosch tool.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: blade changing, battery life

Operates comparable to the corded oscillating tools I've used. This is an excellent tool that only suffers from it's high battery consumption. I found that cutting wood with the 1-1/2" blade drains the battery in less than 15 minutes. Switching to a 3/4" blade over doubled the amount I could cut on a charge. Sanding works very well and does not draw near as much from the battery as cutting. The weight and grip on the tool make it very comfortable and easy to use. This is one very handy tool to have.
Pros: High quality, Durable, light weight
Cons: higher batter consumption

I love my Max Multi-X. It has gotten me out of so many jams. I can't imagine dry walling with out it now. I think it got as much use as my cordless drill in my attic remodel.
Pros: High quality, Durable

I bought a Fein MultiMaster when they were the only ones making one (patent rights maybe). Since I do work away from home, I wanted an oscillating tool that was cordless. First I bought the Craftsman. Tool was OK but the batteries were terrible. Then I bought the Bosch and couldn't be happier. I'm surprised by the power of the 12V battery. I use the flush cutter for undercutting door frames on flooring jobs. It may take two batteries to complete a room, but it sure beats dragging around a cord or finding a plug.

The battery has connection issues but I love this tool. I wish I had bought a corded version instead. Battery life is only about 1/2 an hour of hard work. This is a great finishing or detailing tool though. I do not regret this purchase.
Pros: usable for more than you imagine.
Cons: battery isn't up to the job.

This tool has done any and everything I have put it through for what it is designed and even more. The power and agility makes it a very useful tool for any craftsman. Although it is the cordless version and the battery life is the limitation compared to the corded version. I keep several batteries charged and rarely go through one or two for the task at hand. Its not a tool you run continuously for extended periods of time. The blades are a bit costly, but the seem to last if using the right blade for the job at hand. I would most definitely recommend this tool to any one and buy another. Although Bosch Support has been great whenever I have had troubles.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: none

I needed to cut 3/4" plywood vertically under the kick plate for a counter in order to replace the flooring without damaging the built-in counters. I was able to make the cut using the semi-circular, bi-metallic blade, which fit under the 3 1/2" opening. Not fast, but worked well. I have since found mutiple uses for it around the house, including cutting vinyl soffit to length.
Pros: High quality, Durable, small footprint

The tool itself works well. Battery is the weak point if you use this tool on a daily basis. Corded version would be a better choice for me. It would be nice to have the option to have a corded adapter option for this tool.
Pros: High quality
Cons: constantly switching batteries

Using scraper attachment, battery lasted about 5 minutes - nice power and performance but make sure you keep a few spare batteries on hand (if you can afford them!). Also had trouble with sanding attachment - velcro is not holding paper securely.

Cons: battery life

Purchased the PS last Christmas. I had used it mostly for sanding until I started a remodel one of our bathrooms. I have used it to sand drywall, scrape vinyl off the floor, cut pvc pipe for plumbing, cut drywall and cut wood from the old floor. I have used the PS50 more than any other single tool. Great tool.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: i feel the replacement blades are overpriced

I bought this tool understanding that it is cordless, and does not have unlimited run time. I purchased the PS50 for unique tasks that other tools, such as larger cordless or corded saws/sanders, cannot perform. That said, battery life has been more than adequate for the tasks I have used it for. I once used it to trim asphalt shingles which my buddy had put down four shingles thick in some areas. (The shingles got stuck together from laying out in the sun and he was too lazy to pull them apart). It used up the blade, but it had plenty of power and run time to trim 24 feet of shingles. The tool did not bog down at all, and used one battery with power to spare..
I reach for this tool when I need to trim/notch etc. in tight spaces where a saw will not fit. The scraper attachments are very useful as well. If you understand that the tool will not run forever on one battery, you will not be disappointed. For large tile jobs where you will remove alot of grout, consider the corded model. But for quick cuts, or when no other tool will fit in the space you are working, this tool cannot be beat. With three or four batteries and a charger or two (I have about sixteen batteries and several chargers) battery life will never be an issue.
Pros: High quality

From day 1, this products battery life was very poor. Proper instructions and procedures were used during the charging process. The connection of the battery to the tool is very poor. Both batteries I have to hold and push into the tool so it will start. Just a poor design and fuctionality. Definitely go to the corded.
Cons: Low quality

Poor Battery Life & Connection Problems
Posted April 1, 2012
I too experience the same problems. The battery charge does not last long and I constantly have to hold or push the end of the battery to get the tool to work. It is very frustrating and I returned the tool the very first day that I bought it unfortunately I had not used the replacement very much until lately and it has now started acting up like the old one. I wish I would have bought the one with the cord.
Great tool for the home owner or the professional.

this is a versatile tool. I recently used it to cut screen door molding. Using it with a carpenter's square I was able to cut perfect 45 angles. The battery life for 12v is exceptional. I can get this tool out, do the job and put it away before my partner find his extension cord. I expect nothing but the best from Bosch and always get it.
Pros: High quality
