By far has the most options on this radio over all others
Listen/charge battery/ 12 volt outlet is real handy. And if this wasn't reason enough, it has a 4 outlet GFCI on the side to plug in whatever you like!!! Had my first one for 7 years and sold to a friend, still going strong!! Only weak point is radio reception, depending on location.

I bought this job site radio when my last Bosch radio died. Though this one doesn't have a cd player, it makes up for it with the plethora of media input capabilities. They tuner is excellent and picks up week stations. The fall cage is tough and has proven itself on a couple of occasions. The power splitter that is built in is awesome and convenient.
My only complaint is that it doesn't charge my ipad or have the usb input option. It will play USB drives but not the ipad through it.
The sound is excellent. The separate subwoofer allows you to turn the music up loud. While there is port noise, you only hear it when you are close.

Pros: High quality, excellent sound., place many different media inputs.
Cons: no apple product compatibility.

I only have this a few days, but my family loved it, easy to use and great sound, well worth the money!

A site radio built Bosch tough!

Like most contractors, I started bringing an old "boom box" to the job site to listen to music or talk radio as I worked. Needless to say, due to the fragile nature of the device (cheap plastic) they would last about a month or so before they got thrown in the trash .
After three or four of these "not ready for the job site" radios I got serious and started to look for something more durable. After checking out what was available at the time buying the Bosch was a no brainer.
The roll cage design immediately caught my eye. Someone finally realized that at a job site things get kick and knocked over. Then I noticed that there was the CD player. (Sometimes talk radio can get very boring). The GFI power outlet was a definite plus. Add to this the digital tuner for the AM/FM radio that keeps the station locked in. Then someone at Bosch got really smart and coupled the radio to a flexable "rubber duckie" type of antenna. On my other radios the antenna was always the first thing to go. I also liked the remote control feature because even the most rugged pieces of equipment stand up better if they can be place out of harms' way. Did I mention the unit can be powered by a Bosch rechargabe battery or plugged into a wall outlet. And if all that wasn't enough when I heard the sound quality I was even further impressed.
Over all, this is the best site radio and CD player on the market; bar none.
