Replaced an older saw with this Table Saw with the Gravity Rise Stand (which is awesome!). Maybe its just cause my old saw was old and crotchety, but when I fired up my new Bosch, I was AMAZED at how quiet it was! The job I first tackled was to be a challenge for it (it claimed the life of the old saw) - but the new Bosch performed grand. I was very pleased!
Follow the set up instructions (which are very thorough) to verify ALL of your benchmark settings. For the most part the Factory had everything perfect, but a couple were off - this could've happened in shipping.
Pros: High quality, Durable

I have had this table saw for 4 years now and have never looked back. At first I was reluctant to purchase a direct drive saw, but this tool performs as good as any contractor saw on the market. I remodeled my fathers house over a period of about a year and this product never let me down, in fact because of the quality, most of my hand tool purchases have been Bosch. Thanks & keep up the good work.
Pros: High quality

I've had this saw a few years now and I really like it. It was Fairly easy to set up, Actually all the adjustments were already dead on. I also purchased the Extensions and the Dust collector bag.. I would have liked a better table insert for the blades, and also cleaning it up after use is difficult. The sawdust is in all the nooks and crannies (there are a lot of them on this machine.) I like it's power and accuracy and mobility of moving it around. I recommend this saw.
Pros: High quality, easy to move and set up

I found this saw is pretty stable on portable stand and preformed fantastic . It run so smooth that when cutting melimne there was no chipping on either side of material. Then after about two months the bearings went and had to take 45 miles for repair. I could see this maybe happening if saw was abused , but I 'm the only one using it for minior home repairs . So it did not get a lot of use. After it was repaired it has not cut the same. (now get chipping on back side of material) ,maybe repair shop did not align blade ? When I contacted customer service about inital problem, they were great. They where going to ship to repair depot at their expense. But fearing more damage by shipping company I elected to take it myself.
Pros: light weight and portable

Assembling the stand was a bit confusing for me, but once the task was completed, it works flawlessly with little effort. I keep the saw in it my garage and it has a fairly small footprint in the storage position, and has not been an issue, at all. Plenty of power with a smooth operation and no noticeable vibration. With additional support stands, width of product has not been a problem. Quite satisfied with results and have not found the safety features to be at all obnoxious.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: yet to find

OK Let me first say that I am the type o guy to research the heck out of anything before I buy it. I generally review other users reviews and check overall value and reliability. Now this is my first Bosch product and it CERTAINLY WILL NOT be my last.
1. The overall design is just wonderful. There is no other saw out there that has a folding stand like this one that you an then roll away with that is as solid, well built yet like and durable as this one. Yes there are others out there but not of this caliber.
2. The sliding table itself make adjusting and selecting cutting width so easy its crazy. The table slides smoothly with no sticking and all of the tools store right on the saw itself, which for a handyman like myself is just wonderful.
3. OK the extension cord could really be a few feet longer but its a cord, so I just use an extension cord. This is not way would keep my from recommending this.
ALL in all the saw works like a dream even with a dado blade and am VERY happy I made this purchase, though more expensive than other table saws out there.
Pros: High quality, Durable, tools store on the saw, sliding rip fence is butter smooth
Cons: short cord

Love the saw stand combo. It cuts anything you can throw at it. It requires minor adjustments out of the box but once set up cuts as true as any proffesional grade cabinet saw I've used. Stand easy to assemble great to roll from place to place but am not really happy with the inflatable tires that came with it. Since then they now use solid tires wish mine had them but hey Bosch at least you improved it before more have the same issues withit I had
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: tires on stand when they were inflatable

I purchased this saw based upon the various reviews I read as well as the Bosch reputation. So I would love to be reviewing the saw for how good it works as a saw but unfortunately I cannot. As I was going through the adjustments, as per the instruction booklet, imagine my surprise when I was adjusting the blade parallel to the miter gauge slots when one of the screws stripped. Well it was the aluminum saw blade housing that the screws screwed into that stripped. I didn’t use that much force; in fact I used more force to loosen the screw than I did to tighten them. It appears that the steel screw thread is too fine for the aluminum application. I wished that I didn’t need to adjust the blade but the way I received it, it was about a 1/8” off parallel – front to back. This was just too far off.
This happened on a Saturday morning and the Bosch service department is closed on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday morning to call them. They recommended I take it to a local Bosch authorized service center (not Bosch owned) which I was glad to do. Once there, the service department told me they would try to expedite it but it may take a week to get it back to me. If they had to send it back to Bosch it would take a few weeks and they would HAVE TO CHARGE ME THE UPS SHIPPING CHARGE. The saw is brand new and I have to pay to fix a defect on a new saw? I guess we will see how this plays out. I know I should have waited until this did play out but I wanted to get my experience out there so people thinking about purchasing this saw would be aware of the potential stripping of the adjustment screws as well as the potential problems getting a new saw fixed.
I personally feel since the saw is new (the zip tie installed at the factory to lock the on/off switch hasn’t been cut yet) Bosch should just replace the saw – no harm no foul. Whether they do or not doesn’t fix the fact that the aluminum saw blade housing is a potential problem.
I do give two stars because I purchased this saw with the gravity-rise stand and it went together rather nicely. The instructions were incorrect with the necessary wrenches required. It seems that they have beefed up some of the bolts because the wrenches mentioned in the instruction booklet were smaller than actually needed. The solid tires are a nice change from the pneumatic tires that used to be provided. Once the saw was attached to the stand it worked nicely in moving the saw to my truck so I could take it to the repair facility.
Pros: heavy-duty stand
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The saw is better than I expected. Everything was in perfect alignment. The blade elevates and tilts easily. I especially like the table extension. The lock handle is very positive so I am sure it is locked down before I make my cuts. My splurge was the digital carriage. It is so accurate, I am glad I bought it. The smart guard is a great idea and because it is so easy to install, (no tools), I put it on when needed. I can always find it because it stores right on the saw. I like the gravity rise stand idea, but after setting it up, I find it has such a large footprint, it's awkward to get around. I wish I had bought the standard stand.
Pros: High quality, Durable, easy to install guard system

I have used many other brands of portable job sit table saws and none compare the the Bosch. I work by myself most of the time and the gravity rise stands design makes loading an unloading the saw in the back of a pickup truck a breeze. I would definately recommend this saw to anyone looking for a portable yet accurate cutting table saw. Thanks Bosch for and excellent product!!

This saw is big and powerful. The gravity rise stand is extremely easy to set up and transport especially compared to other benchtop table saws and the addition of outfeed supports makes ripping sheet goods much easier. It is quite powerful, makes a clean cut, has an accurate fence, large work surface, and does a decent job of dust collection with a vac hooked up.
On the downside, the pneumatic tires on the stand can 'squish' a bit from the weight of a full sheet of plywood and make ripping them somewhat difficult. The whole saw plus stand and outfeeds makes the saw VERY heavy and too wide to wheel through any doorway under 36". Even when wheeling through a 36" door it is easy to accidentally gouge the jamb or scratch the door.
All in all, it is still the best benchtop saw I have ever used (and I have used a lot).
Pros: High quality, Durable, easy to set up
Cons: heavy, wide

Thank you for your feed back. Bosch has upgraded the wheels on the 4100-09 stand to a solid rubber tire. If you would like more information please call 877-267-2499.

This saw was a gift from my wife for working on our cabin. It performed flawlessly for interior work. Ease of setup and takedown was a primary feature I liked for moving this saw into and out of the cabin to work. I liked the ease of the detachable blade guard, storage of parts and overall quality. Unfortunately our cabin burned and the saw was destroyed. However I am definitely planning to purchase another as a replacement and would highly recommend this saw to anyone else! Bosch is tops in this department.
Pros: High quality, Durable, accurate
Cons: none

Very good table saw. Great power to get through 3/4 plywood with ease. Easy to fold up and transport. A little heavy but I don't think there is anything they can do about that without sacrificing quality. I would buy this table saw again and again. It gets a lot of use.
Pros: High quality, Durable, powerful motor
Cons: little heavy

Our company does a lot of site built cabinetry and built-ins...many pieces that would you would typically build in a shop with a full cabinet table saw, we do on site with the Bosch 4000 (now the 4100) with the gravity rise stand. We have been consistently pleased with it's ability to dado, re-saw, and rip through 6/4 stock with ease and accuracy. After about 5 years of heavy use, the saw finally had an issue...a simple replacement bearing and it's as good as new! We opted for the additional bolt-on table extensions, which allows us to rip down 4x8 sheet goods safely and accurately. It's been a real work horse for our company. It's definitely one of the larger portable saws on the market, but worth the real estate it takes up in the van. Our original saw is still going strong....if it ever dies....we'll gladly replace it with another!
